This Privacy Policy explains how Palma Technologies, Inc. ("Palma", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use our mobile application, browser extension, website, or interact with us in any way (collectively, the “Services”).

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by revising the “Effective Date” above and providing prominent notice where appropriate. We encourage you to review this Policy regularly.

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide to Us

We collect information you voluntarily provide, such as:

  • Email address when you contact us for support or subscribe to updates.
  • Nickname or profile image you set within the app.
  • Any information included in user support messages, surveys, or feedback.
  • Palma does not require you to submit your legal name, government ID, or phone number to use the wallet.

Information We Collect Automatically

We automatically collect limited data to operate and secure the Services:

  • Device details (e.g., device model, OS version, screen resolution, language)
  • App usage data (e.g., crash logs, open/close sessions, non-identifiable events)
  • IP address (used temporarily for network and fraud protection)
  • Public blockchain data such as wallet address, token balances, and on-chain activity
  • We do not link your wallet address to your IP address, name, or any off-chain identity.

Wallet Key Material

When you create or import a wallet, your private key or seed phrase is stored locally on your device only. Palma does not transmit, collect, or store private key material on our servers.
You are responsible for securely backing up your recovery phrase. If lost, Palma cannot recover your wallet or assets.

Third-Party Integrations

When you use third-party services through Palma (e.g., to purchase tokens via MoonPay or Transak), your interactions are governed by their privacy policies. Palma does not handle or store any payment data, KYC data, or external account details.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Operate, maintain, and secure Palma Wallet
  • Respond to user support and feedback
  • Provide localized features or preferences
  • Improve functionality through analytics (anonymized and non-identifiable)
  • Send service announcements (only if opted-in)
  • Comply with applicable legal and regulatory obligations

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or commercial resale.

3. Sharing of Information

Palma does not sell your personal information. We may share information as follows:

  • With infrastructure providers under strict data protection agreements (e.g., hosting, analytics)
  • With law enforcement or regulators, where required by law
  • In business transfers (e.g., mergers, acquisitions), subject to privacy safeguards
  • With your explicit consent when interacting with third-party dApps or services
  • As aggregated or de-identified data for research or technical reporting

4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Palma uses only essential cookies for session management and app functionality. We do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.

If you use our web platform, we may set cookies that help:

  • Remember your selected wallet or preferences
  • Manage sessions securely
  • Measure page-level engagement in aggregate

You may disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features may be limited.
We do not respond to “Do Not Track” signals at this time.

5. International Data Transfers

Palma operates globally, and your data may be processed in countries outside your own. When we transfer personal information internationally, we apply appropriate safeguards including:

  • Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) as approved by the European Commission
  • Adequate jurisdiction decisions (e.g., Canada)
  • Your consent where applicable

By using Palma, you acknowledge that your information may be processed outside your jurisdiction of residence.

6. Your Rights and Choices

You may exercise the following rights:

  • Access the data Palma holds about you (if any)
  • Request correction or deletion of inaccurate information
  • Disable analytics tracking (in app settings)
  • Withdraw consent for non-essential processing

Please note that Palma cannot access or recover private keys or blockchain data stored locally on your device.

7. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), including:

  • The right to know what personal information we collect and why
  • The right to request deletion of your personal data
  • The right to opt-out of the sale or sharing of personal information (Palma does not sell your data)
  • The right not to be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights

8. EEA/UK/Switzerland Privacy Rights

If you reside in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the right to:

9. Data Retention

Palma retains personal information only as long as necessary to provide the Services and comply with legal obligations.
Key data such as your private key or seed phrase is never retained by Palma and exists only on your device.
Blockchain transactions remain permanently recorded on public ledgers and cannot be removed by Palma.
